As a realtor, I spend my days helping people find the perfect home—spaces where love, warmth, and community thrive. But beyond property lines and market trends, my heart is deeply invested in something just as meaningful: spreading kindness through flowers. That’s why I proudly volunteer with Petals for Patients, a local nonprofit in Yakima, WA, dedicated to brightening lives one bouquet at a time.

My journey with Petals for Patients started as a simple desire to give back, but quickly turned into one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Each week, I join a team of compassionate volunteers in carefully arranging and delivering bouquets to those who need them most. I’ve witnessed firsthand the way a single vase of fresh flowers can change the entire energy of a room, bringing warmth, comfort, and sometimes even tears of gratitude.

It all began with a simple act of compassion—our founder, Kara Lolley, bringing fresh flowers to a friend in hospice. That small gesture planted the seed for an organization that now touches hundreds of lives across the valley. Today, we partner with more than 25 organizations, ensuring that patients in hospice, recovery centers, senior communities, and those facing hardships receive a gift that speaks volumes—flowers grown and arranged with love.

Many of these blooms come straight from Kara’s family land in Cowiche, nurtured with care and transformed into stunning arrangements. Every bouquet serves as a reminder of hope, comfort, and the beauty of a caring community—a sentiment I carry in my real estate work as well.
