A House Turned Into a Home

A house is so much more than paint colors and perfectly styled rooms-it’s the people and the memories inside that truly make it a home. Being a real estate agent now, I see some perfect houses, but the difference I see in them is a perfect, clean, spotless house-trying to be picture perfect all the time…or I see a lived in home, where families gather and love one another and focus on the joys of the memories being created.
As parents, it’s easy to get caught up in the messes, toys scattered across the floor, or laundry that never seems to end. One day that mirror, it will stay clean. One day you won’t have to be washing hand prints off of walls. But those things are often the very signs of a well-loved home.
Every season of life looks different, and when we are in the thick of raising little ones, the mess is a reflection of joy, growth, and true blessings. Instead of worrying too much about the aesthetic, we can choose to see the beauty in the chaos-because eventually, we’ll look back and realize those messy moments were some of the sweetest moments.
In the career of real estate, I have to remind myself that I won’t be coming home to a picture perfect house every day…and that is okay! I can show picture perfect houses to clients, and in that, I can help them see those houses as dreams: dreams of family gatherings and family messes because that is truly what a home is all about.
I have a passion of helping as many families as I can, find that perfect house to buy, and watch them turn it into a perfect HOME. I hope we all can see the beauty in living, the beauty in a new day, and the beauty in the chaos. Each home holds many special memories, and I can’t wait to help, maybe you, find the right place to call home and start making memories that will last you a lifetime.
Blessings to you,
